Homemade Pita Chips

Discover the perfect recipe for Homemade Pita Chips. Easy to make, crispy and delicious, they pair perfectly with your favorite dips!

Ingredients

4 Pita Bread pockets

1/4 cup Olive Oil

1 teaspoon Sea Salt

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 teaspoon Dried Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut each pita bread pocket into 8 triangular pieces then cut those in half to make bite size chips. You can use kitchen scissors or a sharp knife.

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, oregano and paprika.

Place the pita triangles in a large bowl. Pour the olive oil mixture over them and toss well to coat each piece evenly.

Spread the pita triangles in a single layer on a baking sheet. Avoid overlapping to ensure they bake evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the pita chips cool for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

Serve with your favorite dips like hummus, guacamole, or salsa.

Tips:

For extra crunch, you can bake them a few minutes longer, but watch them closely to prevent burning.

Store any leftover pita chips in an airtight container to keep them crispy.
