This smoothie is like sunshine in a bowl—thick, frosty, and bursting with tropical flavor. I make this with frozen papaya that I prep ahead of time, fresh orange juice for brightness, and a mix of mango and banana to give it that creamy, soft-serve texture. It’s energizing, hydrating, and so simple to blend up in the morning. I love topping mine with my homemade granola (see recipe above!) and a handful of fruit for crunch and color.
How to make a delicious Papaya Mango Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup Frozen Papaya Chunks (fresh papaya, cut and frozen)
1/2 cup Fresh-Squeezed Orange Juice
1/2 cup Frozen Mango
1/2 Frozen Banana
I first started making this papaya smoothie when we had extra ripe papayas from the market and I didn’t want them to go to waste. Freezing them was a game changer! Blended with mango and banana, they turn into the creamiest base that tastes almost like a tropical sorbet. The orange juice gives it a bright, tangy twist that wakes up your whole morning.
Sometimes I even prep little smoothie packs with the frozen fruit all portioned out, so all I have to do is grab, blend, and enjoy. It’s such a simple way to feel nourished, refreshed, and a little fancy—especially when topped with homemade granola or fruit.
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until thick and smooth. You may need to pulse or stir once or twice.
Pour into a glass or a bowl and top with your favorite toppings—granola, coconut flakes, chia seeds, sliced fruit, or a drizzle of nut butter.
Best served fresh while cold and creamy!
