This plant-based Chunky Monkey Nice Cream taking on the classic flavor is rich, creamy, and full of texture. Frozen bananas blend into a soft-serve-like base, while swirls of peanut butter, crunchy walnuts, and vegan chocolate chips take it to the next level. It’s the perfect balance of indulgent and wholesome—with no dairy, no added sugar, and all the nostalgic flavor you remember.
Ingredients
3-4 Large Ripe Bananas, sliced and frozen (extra to cut in for texture)
2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Coconut or Almond Milk (or any plant milk)
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup Chopped Vegan Dark Chocolate or Chocolate Chips
1/4-1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
Optional: a drizzle of Almond Butter or Peanut Butter
This nice cream is pure frozen magic. It’s inspired by that classic Chunky Monkey flavor, but totally plant-based and way easier to make. I blend frozen bananas into a soft-serve-like swirl, then fold in crunchy walnuts and dark chocolate chunks. It’s creamy, rich, and sweet—without any added sugar or dairy. Honestly, I make this all year round whenever I want a guilt-free treat that feels indulgent but only takes 5 minutes.
Instructions
In a high-speed blender or food processor, blend the frozen banana slices, almond milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed.
Pour the banana nice cream into a glass loaf pan or bowl.
Stir in the chocolate chunks, walnuts, extra bananas and nut butter.
Scoop into bowls and enjoy immediately for soft serve, or freeze for 1–2 hours for a firmer texture.
Drizzle with additional nut butter before serving for that extra Chunky Monkey magic!
Health Note
Bananas are packed with potassium and fiber, while walnuts add healthy omega-3 fats. A better-for-you frozen treat that satisfies!
