This is the ultimate guilt-free pleasure, our crispy tofu nuggets recipe. Perfectly seasoned and air-fried to perfection for a delicious crunch!
Ingredients
1 Block of Tofu (frozen, then unthawed)
1 tsp each Paprika, Thyme Leaves, Onion and Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp ground Cumin
1/2 tsp Salt (add more to taste)
3-4 Tablespoons Cornstarch
3-4 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 F degrees or Air fryer at chicken setting. If using the oven line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
Squeeze the liquid out of the tofu. Break the tofu into bite size chunks and place them into a ziplock bag or large bowl with lid. Season the tofu with the paprika, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin and salt. Toss the tofu with the cornstarch and coconut oil and shake in the bag until fully coated (or toss in the bowl with a lid).
Pour the tofu onto the baking sheet or into the air fryer basket and bake on chicken setting or in the oven at 375 F and bake until golden brown and crispy. You can enjoy the crispy tofu on its own or make my Bang Bang Sauce below.
Bang Bang Sauce:
1/2 cup Vegan Mayo
1 TB Gochujang (Hot Pepper Paste)
1 tsp Sriracha Sauce
1 tsp Rice Vinegar
Mix together until creamy and smooth.
