Indulge guilt-free with our decadent vegan chocolate mousse recipe. Creamy, rich, and oh-so-delicious - a must-try for every chocolate lover!
Ingredients
1 cup Soaked Cashews (drained and rinsed) be sure to soak until soft, at least 24 hrs.
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder or Cacao Powder
1/4 cup Agave Nectar or Maple Syrup (to taste)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
pinch Salt
1/2 cup Plant Based Milk unsweetened
Toppings: Berries, Nuts, Chocolate shavings, etc.
Instructions
In a high speed blender blend the cashews until almost smooth. Add to the blender the remaining chocolate mousse ingredients (not the toppings) and blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour the chocolate mousse into two small bowls or ramekins. Place the bowls on a plate and allow to cool in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or longer to firm up.
Serve topping with berries, nuts, chocolate shavings and/or vegan whip topping.
Note: When blending the chocolate mousse it should start to get a little thick. If it gets too thick for you liking adjust by adding small amounts of plant based milk at a time. However this recipe should produce a nice silky mousse.
