This vegan chocolate mug cake is the ultimate quick-fix dessert for chocolate lovers! It’s rich, soft, and decadent with deep cocoa flavor, yet it comes together in just a few minutes in the microwave. Top it with chocolate chips, drizzle on vegan caramel, or add a dollop of coconut whipped cream for an indulgent finishing touch.
Ingredients
4 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
3 Tablespoons Organic Cane Sugar
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
3 Tablespoons Oat Milk (or any plant milk)
2 Tablespoons Neutral Oil
1 Tablespoon Vegan Chocolate Chips
If you’ve ever wanted a gooey chocolate cake without turning on the oven, this recipe is your best friend. The texture is perfectly soft and moist, almost brownie-like, but lighter. I especially love adding a spoonful of vegan hazelnut spread in the middle before microwaving for a molten lava cake vibe.
Instructions
In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add oat milk and oil; stir until smooth.
Fold in chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
Microwave for 70–80 seconds until rich and fudgy.
